Can dogs eat sunflower seeds?
Why
Sunflower seeds supply vitamin E and beneficial fatty acids that can support skin and coat health. The shells are indigestible and can cause blockages, so only the shelled kernels should be fed. Salted seeds can contribute to salt toxicosis, so choose plain, unsalted seeds.
How much is safe
Offer a small number of shelled, unsalted seeds occasionally; too many can cause gastrointestinal upset.
