Can dogs eat pumpkin seeds?
Why
Pumpkin is non-toxic to dogs, and its seeds can be offered in moderation when plain, unsalted, and shelled. Like other seeds, they are high in fat, so eating too many can cause gastrointestinal upset, and dogs prone to pancreatitis should avoid them. Seeds should be given in small, controlled amounts as an occasional treat rather than a staple.
How much is safe
A small number of plain, unsalted, shelled pumpkin seeds, ideally roasted or ground, given occasionally.
